It was about a week before Christmas and my dad came in and got me my broth and sister together and told us that he had a surprise for us. So we all gathered in the living room waiting for the surprise. About one minute later my dad comes busting through the door holding this little dog, and sets it on the ground in front of us. At first we are all in shock, we didn't know what to think. "Is it ours, is it lost, are we just baby sitting it?" Finally my dad blurts out, "It's yours!" The excitement was overwhelming. I finally had my own dog, I remember picking up at first and setting it right back down because her belly was so warm, it felt weird to me I guess.
Another memory that sticks out in my head was when we finally got a pool. It was summer and I was about 12 years old, and my mom and dad decided to get a pool in the back yard. I remember how excited I was when they finally came to start digging. The hole they dug was so huge, I found it fascinating to jump down in there, after they left for the day, and play around in it, till my mom yelled for me to get out. I couldn't wait for the pool to finally be done I would be the only person on the street to have a pool!
I can't think of many more right now.
